Hunger is not An Option
(Fighting To End Hunger One Community At A Time..)
Teens Do Care has a mission to make sure we do our part to stop hunger. We distribute free food to the community every 2nd Saturday of the month. We give out can goods, baked goods, pasta, rice, beans, meats, and much more. We service over 100 families monthly. We also have a food pantry that open 4 days out of the week. One of our partners is the Second Harvest Food Bank, and we are a distributor of TEAP (The Emergency Food Program).
Teen Parents Moving Forward is a program that's dedicated to teenage mothers and fathers up to age 23. This program is designed to strengthen the knowledge of becoming productive parent(s) by focusing on self-esteem, parenting classes, education and job training. Our focus is to decrease the dropout rate among teenage parents and allow them to achieve job training skills through volunteering and interning with local business owners.
The struggles these parents face can be overwhelming, and devastating I know, I was a teen parent myself(words from the executive director), but with the help of Teen Parents Moving Forward we will show our young parents how to be a Conqueror!
